We spent part of the first day buying a new camera. We got a really good deal on a Panasonic Lumix at Costco and the staff at the Gilbert, AZ Costco were very helpful. Then we stopped in Mesa to visit friends. The second day we went on a drive on the Apache Trail. We stopped at the Superstition Mountain and Lost Dutchman Museum and then drove out to Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat. Tortilla Flat was a stagecoach stop and the saloon has been serving travelers for over 100 years. On the way back into Apache Junction we stopped at the Goldfield Ghost Town which was a boom town in the 1890's, with 50 working mines in the district.
